What Is NASSCOM Technology Confluence, and Why Did We Go?

NASSCOM is the industry body for India’s technology sector, and the confluence is its regional meeting ground for technology leaders, builders and buyers. The theme this year, set out on the official NTC 2026 page, is “Redefining Value in an Intelligent World.” Kolkata’s edition was ours to attend for a simple reason. Ingold Solutions has its Indian office in the city, alongside the Berlin headquarters, so a room full of people who build and buy technology was a chance to meet them on home ground.

What Does “Your Problem Is Our Starting Point” Mean in Practice?

Almost nobody walks up to a stand and asks for a particular piece of software. They arrive with a symptom. The stock count never matches the books. The online shop cannot see what the warehouse holds. Month-end close eats a week. Someone retypes the same order three times because two systems refuse to talk.

So we do not open with a product. We ask what is going wrong, who it hurts and what it costs the business each month, and the answer decides what we suggest next. Sometimes that is an ERP project. Sometimes it is a connection between two tools that already exist. Occasionally it is a change of process and no software at all. That is what the line on our invitation meant, and it is how the team spent the day: mostly listening.

What Does Ingold Solutions Actually Do?

Four areas cover most of our work. The first is ERP. We implement, advise on and support SAP Business One, and we also take over from a previous partner when a business wants a fresh start. Cloud hosting is available for companies that would rather not run servers.

The second is e-commerce. We are a Magento, Shopify and Shopware agency, and the real work is usually the link between the shop and the ERP, so that orders, stock and customers move without anyone retyping them.

Third comes the Microsoft side: Microsoft 365 setup, e-mail migration and Azure.
